CHARACTER DESIGN PROJECTS
LEGACY
Legacy is a worldbuilding project inspired by Okinawan and Japanese culture in which storytelling and legends themselves are a source of magic.
As the land heals from war, an old travelling orator embarks on a journey to share the legends she's preserved through song.
WITCH OF THE THOUSAND-FINGERED GOD
An enigmatic and dangerous sorcerer working in service of her deity. Banished to the spirit plane long ago, the Thousand-Fingered God manifests as the long shadows cast by the setting sun, representing loss and oncoming hardship.
The Witch herself is a skilled combatant, hiding her face and body behind a brass mask and heavy robes while wielding the bones of her god as a scythe.
For each of its rings the Witch collects and adorns herself with, she can summon another of its massive fingers onto the material plane. Each ring is one step closer to pulling the deity back into the mortal world.
BELL GUARDIAN
Inspired by Okinawan Shisa Lions, Bell Guardians are magical creatures that seek out a worthy person or place to protect.
HABUSHU - FESTIVAL SPIRIT
Habushu is a beastman of immense stature and mirth - as both a taiko drummer and a sumo wrestler, he can be found reveling in the fervor and feasting of festivals when the moon is waxing.
Despite his somewhat powerful appearance, he is kind-hearted and energetic.
WISHEATER
Once a dormant forest keeper, Wisheater has developed a taste for the stories of man and the desires they hold within. He is not inherently malicious, but not entirely trustworthy either.
